As a BB accelerates through an airsoft barrel, variations in airflow, BB alignment, and internal clearances can influence its movement. Contact with the barrel’s internal walls can introduce unwanted disturbances, potentially affecting the BB’s orientation and consistency as it exits the muzzle.

The 6.15mm widebore design provides increased clearance around the BB compared to traditional 6.03mm and 6.05mm tightbore barrels.

This additional clearance is intended to reduce the likelihood of unwanted BB-to-barrel contact, allowing the BB to travel with fewer mechanical disturbances when paired with a properly tuned air system.

Optimized Airflow Characteristics
